The Congolese Community in Arizona exists to unite, empower, and uplift Congolese individuals and families living in Arizona. We strive to preserve and celebrate our rich cultural heritage, support one another through community programs, and foster educational, economic, and social opportunities. Through collaboration, cultural exchange, and advocacy, we aim to build a thriving, connected, and respected Congolese presence that contributes positively to the broader Arizona community.
Since 2001, the Democratic Republic of Congo Community of Arizona (DRCCAZ) has served as a beacon of unity and cultural preservation for Congolese families throughout the state of Arizona. With an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 members, we represent one of the largest and most vibrant Congolese communities in the American Southwest.

President Portrait
As President of DRCCAZ, Rudy Ditend provides overall leadership and strategic direction for our community organization. In this role, he serves as the primary spokesperson for the community, represents DRCCAZ in external partnerships and collaborations, and works to advance our mission of uniting, empowering, and uplifting Congolese families throughout Arizona.
1st Vice-President
Jacques Mmbucwa serves as 1st Vice-President, working closely with the President to ensure effective leadership and continuity in our community operations. In this role, he assists with strategic planning, program oversight, and community representation, while also preparing to assume presidential responsibilities when needed.
2nd Vice-President
Toussaint Chibasa serves as 2nd Vice-President, contributing to the leadership team’s collaborative approach to community governance. His role involves supporting the President and 1st Vice-President in their duties while also taking on specific responsibilities related to community programming and member engagement.
Treasurer
Bienfait Ngoyi serves as Treasurer, overseeing the financial management and fiscal responsibility of DRCCAZ. In this critical role, he ensures that community resources are managed transparently and effectively, supporting our various programs and initiatives while maintaining the financial stability necessary for long-term sustainability.
Secretary
Gracias Manzongo serves as Secretary, maintaining official records and facilitating communication within our community organization. In this essential role, he ensures that community meetings are properly documented, official correspondence is managed effectively, and important information is communicated clearly to all members.
